Description
The concept word of this artwork is「動」. It reads “ugoki”/“dō” and means literally “movement”.
Starting from the bottom clockwise, adding the kanji「動」, gives the following cycle.
Initially, 「動機」“dōki”: the “reason”, the “motive” of the own intuition or vision.
Then, 「動静」“dōsei”: the effective “movement”, “what someone actually does”.
After that,「鼓動」“kodō”: the “what makes our heart beat”, “what arouses emotions”.
Finally,「感動」“kandō”: the act of “being moved”, “being touched”.
