Description

The author created this artwork for the Japanese national holiday of 「海の日」“Umi no Hi”, aka “Marine Day”, during which homage is paid to the sea.
A calm sea on the horizon is the allegory of a serene soul: “There are no waves in peaceful mind.” (「静かなこころに波は立たない。」“Shizukana kokoro ni nami wa tatanai.”).
