(Online Experience) Making Creative Origami with an Origami Artist

Origami Artist Kazuki Fukuroi will show you how to create an original Origami step by step.
Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding (ori = folding, kami = paper) to make shapes such as animals, plants and living tools.

Combining artistic elements to the logically calculated folding method, Fukuroi sensei gives life to a unique designed models.
In this workshop we will make some original Origami by Fukuroi sensei and we will delve deeper in origami origins and creation process.

What you will need

Materials and tools
· Paper (square sheet 15-24cm)
· Glue
· Toothpick (pointed object)
· Scissors
· Box cutter

· Use a single sheet to fold (it is also possible to cut some wrapping paper with a white back into a square).
· Download the origami instructions (pdf) that will be sent to you after the reservation.
· The origami in the pictures are examples.

 

How to participate in the online experience

· WActivity JAPAN uses Zoom online platform for video conferencing.
· Download free Zoom software (https://zoom.us) to your own computer, tablet or mobile device.
· After the reservation is completed, we will send you the URL, meeting ID and passcode via email.
· Customers who have set up to receive emails will be contacted at the entered email address.

· Log in to Zoom 5 minutes before the start time and check the video/audio settings.
· To prevent howling, we recommend using headphones/earphones.
· If you are late your participation may be denied.

This experience is a hybrid-format of entertainment connecting virtual (Zoom) and real (Tsukiji Studio, Tokyo) activities at the same time.
